During a preliminary hearing Tuesday, a Ventura County Superior Court judge found enough evidence to hold Joey Brack for trial in connection with a marijuana-growing operation in La Conchita. Prosecutor Ryan Wright said in an interview that police confiscated 300 plants and $250,000 in unexplained bank deposits. Brack, 53, was arrested in February after a two-month investigation on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale, money laundering, tax evasion and stealing electricity from Southern California Edison, according to authorities.
