High school administrators sick of drugs on campus want to enlist more dogs. Nevada Joint Union High School District is considering renewing a contract with a private canine drug-sniffing agency, The Union of Grass Valley reports. Last year, the district paid about $13,000 for services from Interquest Detection Canines, based in La Grange, about 30 miles east of Modesto. The canine teams show up unannounced to sniff locker areas, parking lots and empty classrooms. The firm recommends twice-monthly sweeps on each campus.
