Impaired fetal development is not the same thing as birth defects, though the former can certainly contribute to the latter.

Since starting this blog, I've noticed many advocates tend to treat any and all cannabis research with suspicion. It's an occupational hazard for researchers, I suspect, much as it is for journalists working in the mainstream media. A deeper understanding of the research tools used to evaluate health hazards in humans goes a long way in allaying such concerns.

The title is severely misleading. It implies that scientists have done experiments and found that marijuana smoking while pregnant leads to birth defects. After reading the article, I realize this is nothing close to what it is about.

This is not a study of Cannabis and woman.

Why even bother to list it as such. A waste of time to click on the link.
