That particular approach is one of many models used by newspapers to help build paid readership online. It’s not exactly user-friendly for Web surfers on the go, which explains why the practice has fallen out of favor at larger papers. You can’t blame the Journal for trying, but I guess you’ll have to trek to Weaverville if you want the full scoop on the Trinity supes.
No information on the proposed ordinance is available on the county’s Web site, at least none that identifies it as targeting pot dispensaries. You can view details on a revised nuisance ordinance here, and other communities have taken this approach.
